2024 All Star Soccer Games

Friday, a chilly but, thankfully, rain free night saw the 10th Annual Santa Rosa Kiwanis High School All Star High School Soccer Double Header kick off at Maria Carrillo Highs School.



Ukiah Coach Shane Huff’s North Team

Game Summaries

Girls-

Maria Carrillo Coach Claire Howard’s North team emerged victorious over Coach Vinnie Cortezzo’s South team by a score of 3-2 off two goal performance by UC Davis bound forward Abella Hunter of Cardinal Newman. Windsor forward Ixchel Trejo rounded out the scoring for the North with another goal. Hunter was named MVP for the North. Montgomery midfielder Kaiya Gagaring and Vintage Defender Alexis Gerien kept it close scoring 1 goal each. Gerien was named South MVP.

Boys-

Ukiah Coach Shane Huff’s North Team emerged victorious after a tough defensive battle against Analy Coach Peter Meechan’s South Team in penalties after tying 1-1 at the end of 70 minutes of regulation. Piner Midfielder Gabriel Gonzolez scored for the North while Analy striker Walter Galbraith scored for the South resulting in the tie. In penalties, North goalkeeper Alvaro Nieves made two big saves to seal the win for the North 4-3 in penalties. South Defender Izaac Castillo from Montgomery and North goal scorer Gonzolez were each named their team’s MVP’s.
